Sometimes you find something on the web that just blows your mind. This evening I found recipematch.com, a site that allows you to enter what you have in your cupboard and fridge and it will show you the recipes you can make with those ingredients. I punched in what we had, black beans and diced tomatos and got six recipes back. We decided to go with the Crockpot chicken with black beans, salsa and cream cheese . Once I decided on that the site showed me the remaining ingredients I would need. Turns out we had the chicken breasts and corn. We will only need to go out for the cream cheese. And since it is added at the very end, we can get it on the way home tomorrow evening.
My wife seems to come by this talent naturally. She can take one look at the cupboard and know what we are going to have for dinner. I have always envied this ability on the nights its my turn to cook. You can be I’ll be using this site again…and again!
